UI – Part 250 – Communication with our Creator
Who communicates and how? Certainly a leader speaking to a crowd communicates, at least shares his message. One on one, an exchange of ideas, is communication. Classroom settings with teacher and students provide a forum for discussion, debate and learning. By means of communication we learn, gain knowledge and wisdom. The value of our learning through communication, involving listening, hearing and responding, is best realized when passed-on. Families, parents to children and to grandchildren are an opportunity to share and repeat items to be taught, to be imparted and to be passed on. The history of the world is to be shared, recorded (if possible) and passed on; what is correct and actual is to be studied, vetted and supported. What does it take? Can one, just one person, communicate without another? Communication is a relationship between persons. The key is ‘relationship’, as who else could one relate, or communicate.
God and Communication
The two most important types of communication are between man and God and between human beings. Communication is more than just our ability to talk, but also to listen[i]. (Read more) So it takes at least two. And God having a relationship with humans, which is possible (and to be explained). Muslims deny a relationship with Allah (their god) can exist; thus there is no relationship between them and Allah, no one on one with their god. Christians know otherwise, communicating daily or more often with the Creator through prayer. Pray without ceasing.[ii]
Communication Complete
When has the interchange between two or more, the act of communication, reached an end point? If inherent in communicating is to pass-on a message, it would then suggest that ‘end’ is when the message is received. What might then follow is the question as to understanding – message received, but is it understood? And what evolves with understanding. The answer may well be ‘wisdom.’
God’s Effective Style
Two major religions in the world – Christianity and Islam – often disagree as to the definition of their Supreme Being. Is it the Christian God, the Trinity or is it Allah, but one god? The answer might surprise some, if not all. The first thing I will say is that the Trinity is One. It is not three – as to individual gods, but One and the proof comes from this topic of ‘communication.’ Allah is by Islam’s definition one god, yet how did this incomprehensible Being make himself known to man.
From the Quran and Islamic history, in the form of Hadith’s written well over a hundred years after the death of Muhammad, the spiritual leader (not divine), Allah’s proclamations, are made as corrective actions to the Bible itself. Christians accept the Bible as the ‘Word’, the Word of God. It is not the words of Muhammad repeating what an angel told him were from his god called Allah. The ‘Word’ of God then suggests God is communicating directly with his people daily, hourly, every second, every opportunity provided by anyone who wishes to read the Bible. Christians hear his voice in the inspired words of God (2Timothy 3:16[iii]) recorded for all mankind to listen and hear. It is not the voice of man.
Worth repeating, God speaks to humans. How? The Bible. It is the Word of God. With each reading you can close your eyes and hear God, as thru this wonderful, inspired and truthful document God’s voice is recorded. So if ever asked do you know anyone that God has spoken to? You can answer – Yes. Me. Hand that person a Bible. Tell them to open it and read it. God will speak to them too.
Communication and Prayer
Through prayer humans are provided the ability to communicate, to respond, to ask, to give thanks to God. There is an exchange for the Christian, a communications method. To add emphasis to the credibility of the ‘Word’, understand the concept of the Trinity, not as 3 but as 1, God demonstrating how he speaks to all with Truth. We know God is not see-able. God also wants/desires a relationship with humans. How did he go about that? He became human/incarnate, still God, see-able as Jesus[iv]. Jesus to prove he was God, totally obedient to God, was perfect. Even the Muslims, the Quran, note Isa (Jesus) was perfect, thus how could he speak other than the Truth. He had exchanges with humans, witnesses to his miracles and he spoke Truth, Truth that they were to hear, understand and pass-on.To know then the message was received, the communications achieved an ‘end’ point the recipient, the believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, making the oneness of God complete in understanding who he is – God as Father, God as Son (who came to be with mankind), and God as the Spirit that dwells within.
Sinners Saved
We are all sinners, and even as believers we sin. Be it a grievous sin, which may include homosexuality, or a minor sin, swearing, taking the name of God in vain, blasphemy, or simply lying, we sin. Every form of deceit is a sin. Yet we believe and make the effort to live as Christ, the perfect person exemplified by God himself, as the example we are to follow – difficult, even impossible, as it may be. We recognize our sinful nature (the ‘bad news’) and are thankful for the Grace of the Lord, making us righteous as believers because He was righteous (the ‘good news’). Laws are there to be disobeyed, but as to God’s commandments, love, which personifies God (Love), of god is to be foremost, and love of others to be next in importance. Serve one another through love. Forgiveness is necessary and even for the smallest of sins we need to be forgiven and we are, through the sacrifice, the punishment Christ took on our behalf, to free us from our sinful nature (yet we sin). We are forgiven and assured of Salvation. That is Christianity. Strive to be as Christ. God knows your heart and the struggle you may have to follow, but he knows too the effort you make and the sincerity of that effort out of love for Him. You repent whenever you err; you are filled with the Spirit to remind you, to provide the decision tree and the awareness of the branch to choose.
There is not one religion that provides the same assurance of being saved. Not one. Only the communication that God (as known conceptually by the Trinity – a means of communicating who He is) has with humans through his perfect incarnation to be among humans, and to live as we live, and to then live within us, reminding[v] us each day that we are with him, and can speak with him thru prayer whenever we wish, makes the eternal goal possible.
Allah Not A Communicator
In speaking as but one voice, there is no-one to hear. Allah did not establish himself in a relationship with mankind. He communicates with no-one. He does not exist as god, but as the Best Deceiver[vi] – that he is. His deception is perpetuated by the mortal Muhammad, who as an imperfect human, as we all are, cannot provide assurance of the Truth. He is not Isa. He was not gifted to humans as the ‘perfect’ example to mankind, the example to follow, to emulate. Jesus was an expressive person, a person among men, an associate that made God known to humans directly, not just one person, but to hundreds and hundreds, none who ever denied his existence or sacrifice.
God-Jesus-Spirit Communication – Proof of God
Jesus was the communicator for God and Biblical history, that of the seed of Christ, expectations foretold by the Biblical Prophets, life stories told in the Old Testament, inspired by God and recorded for a purpose, examples of God’s wrath and vengeance, the failure of humans to properly pass-on their heritage, few teaching those who followed the knowledge they had gained, and more. It all comprises God’s Word; His voice sharing. The New Testament enabled God to restore the spiritual vacuum that was consuming mankind, placing himself among men to know Him, and thus realize they can relate to God. The entirety of the Bible is without deception, and provides truthful answers to all our questions in such ways than mankind, humans, cannot be expected answer in a similar fashion consistently. Why? Because it is God that speaks; it is His Word which you can hear, in which you will discover the answers and His Truth.
His Truth Be Told
We are blessed as human beings to have God in our midst. When you have the Bible in your hand, you are holding God, his presence known, his voice heard as the pages are turned and what is transcribed is read, and heeded. Your life will be better. Thank God. Accept Him who has saved you and provided the guide to the path of your salvation by living a life as Christ so lived. You have His Word.
I wish I could say the same for Allah and the Quran. The Quran is not inspired by God; it cannot be uncreated, as only God is uncreated, and it is not a compilation of corrections made to the Bible. But as Muhammad has noted therein, it is a book of deception. To those who so follow, know that the Deceiver is your host, your guide to an imperfect future. Let not Muhammad be your guide. But let the light of the Lord shine on you, open your eyes, to see and hear God and receive the assurance of your Salvation. No longer will there be uncertainty.
Listen for His Voice
You too can communicate with God, one on one. Listen and He will speak to you; just ask for Christ to come into your heart. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Communicate with your Creator.
Pray this prayer: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.” (Ephesians 1:3-10)
God has set us all free, abundantly free. He has communicated to us fully so we know his Truth.
