Why Can’t Islamists Be Happy? (4 of 5) – To Muslims in the EU, America & other Free societies. You can now find the answer.
(This series has been a call for moderate Muslims, Muslims who escaped the war torn areas where Islamism is attempting to prove it knows ‘true Islam’, and now have an opportunity as never before, to learn about alternatives to this ideology of hatred.)
I fear and pray for the moderate Muslim. I call on them to see the light of Christ that provided a pathway to salvation through truth and love. Read the Word of God. Even Muhammad contradicted himself when he said the Quran corrected the Bible, knowing that the source code of moral and ethical values came from the Biblical God. Love is unconditional from God only. Allah, by the statements made in the Quran, only loves when first loved by the believer. Cleary hatred directed at the non-believer prevails, thus no love, until, yes until, they believe in Allah. Sura 22.38 states that Allah’s love is conditional. “Surely Allah loves NOT anyone who is unfaithful, ungrateful.” The love of God (Biblical) is unfailing, undeserved and unilateral. However God’s love does not assure one of Salvation, that comes from knowing Christ (God incarnate).
God’s wrath will be poured out on Judgment Day upon those who have not believed, but until that time He patiently awaits for the truth to be heard, understood and accepted, not with sword in hand to behead anyone. The truth he shared was a relationship with God was possible, just as a father-son, mother-daughter, parent-child. The phrase, “The truth will set you free,” expressed by Jesus and noted in John 8:32, is important to know. That truth is the teaching of Jesus. That teaching is available in the New Testament. The freedom is knowing God’s wrath will not be upon those who have truly believed. You are forgiven. Who is to be punished on Judgment Day is not determined by any human but by God alone. If you have Christ as your advocate you will find a life everlasting. The Holy Spirit, the voice of God, is indwelling in those who belong to God and thus hear God. There are moderate Muslims if they listen to their heart will hear God, not Allah, not their Imam, but God. It is the spirit of the Lord that will fill them with abundance. Listen to His voice, not those outside influences attempting to spoil you with the blackness of hatred.
Temptations abound, they can never be avoided or removed from anyone’s surroundings. Nothing can eradicate the potential to sin. Islam cannot do it. The opportunities are there. God placed them before us as a test. It is the individual that can with prayer and prudence make his way through this world by following the beacon of truth that lights the way. Jesus was without sin, but he was tempted. No authority, no country, no theocracy can eradicate the chances to do wrong in God’s eyes. Covering a woman does not alter the thoughts a man might have towards her sexuality. Women too have desires that a man can stir. It is self-control, not a black board without anything on it that holds us back from the evil in this world that as a vortex wants to draw us into a bottomless chasm of destruction. If you see the vortex you can avoid it. Obey the words of the Lord and you will avoid calamity. “Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”, spoken by Jesus. John 8:51.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate your passion. You seem objective and very accepting of the Islamic ideology. The Ahmadi’s think as you do, so it seems, but they have provided a different interpretation of the Quran to establish their views. Yet they were dispelled from Pakistan, and labeled as infidels (possibly heretics) in many Muslim dominated areas.
I have read the Quran and many foundation texts to the Laws of Sharia. But as many, if not most, Muslims I have not read the original Arabic version. In that regard may I first make note that the 5 Pillars, to which your refer, are not in the Quran.
As for Christianity the New Testament was the New Covenant forecast in the Old Testament (OT). It became a game changer, as you are probably aware. View it not only as God’s gift to mankind through the saving Grace of God-incarnate, and the Good News, but as an all inclusive document, bringing all people into the tent, as it were, not just those Chosen. Emphasis is made on two primary commandments, to love God and to love your neighbor. It has no call for war or God’s wrath being poured out, for which many examples were provided in the OT. God’s wrath is saved for Judgment Day and is God’s alone.
Your Psalm verses are good ones, however, they are an expression of displeasure with the Babylonians, not actions actually taken, just as you have expressed displeasure with me.
As for being a racist bigot, first the racist part, I guess your are referring to my expressed concerns for Islamists, political Islamists, and I did not realize they were a race. I still do not believe they are. I question not who they are, but why and their ideology (Islam), and how it engenders their practices. And bigotry, well, maybe. I have concerns, more than prejudices, arising mostly from the actions of leaders in Muslim controlled areas, and the influence being peddled by the Wahhabists and others (like ISIS) acting to achieve a similar result, which they believe is ‘True Islam.’ That is a term you can help with by providing the proper definition.
There are moderate Muslims, but what do they stand for and are they heretics too, in the eyes of the Imams and scholars of Islam. They may be the majority, but are they any less an infidel than a Christian or a Jew. Can Islam ever exist, moderate Muslims or fundamentalist Islamists, in a pluralistic society peaceably? Why do they, for the most part, fail to assimilate?
You may be a scholar of Islam and I look forward to your cogent commentary more so than personal innuendos.
Sura 5.48 is a fascinating selection. Muslims are good people. They make good neighbors. What I like is Allah’s affirmation of the Bible, “the Book with the truth.” Yet it establishes a competition between Allah’s followers and with the People of the Book and others.
Sura 60.8 needs clarification. The double negative makes it tricky, but when the ‘not’ is removed says – ‘Allah forbids you (Muslim) respecting those who fight you for religion.’ This is an impactful statement used by the political and aggressive Caliphate, All the World for Allah, oriented Islamists to call those who resist their movement to imperialize in the name of Allah, taking new territories, as the aggressors. No need to be kind or just to the aggressors. Even those who attempt to share their faith (proselytize), not Islam, are considered aggressors. Friendly relations are permitted, but only when Islam is accepted and not challenged. And that includes the call for Sharia Law when opposed by those whose prefer laws made for all the people, common laws.
The site has been running for 5 years. I respect your comments, more than your style, but that is OK. I will always attempt to respond and encourage a dialog that may lead me or others to a greater understanding of Islam.
for someone who has apparently read the bible, you sure don’t know much about what you’re speaking on. especially the islam part. if you weren’t so far up on your religious high horse, you’d notice that islam and christianity are extremely similar (you know, since they share the old testament) and this false “religion of hatred” narrative you’re using to fear monger could just as easily be synthesized about christianity as well. Stop picking and choosing passages from the quran to support your twisted ideology. I have a feeling you’re simply using this as a facade to justify some irrational hatred and racist tendencies you have. smh. you’re no better than fundamentalists of any other religion.
Very few Muslims have ever seen an Old Testsment yet alone read it as background for the Quran. There are too many differences between the faith of Christ followers and the ideology of Islam, that the term ‘similar’ is inaccurate. There is no war in the New Testament; the Quran is rife with fighting the infidel, never loving neighbor or being kind to enemies. As for hatred, grab your copy of the Quran and read Sura 60:4, “We disbelieve in you (infidels, with a focus on Christians and Jews) and there has arisen enmity and hatred between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone….” Just trying to outline what the Books say.
Appreciate your comment. Please read other issues of this blog and feel free to express your feelings. Blessings.
Except for the fact that christianity is both the old and the new testament, and jesus even condones the stuff that happened in the old testament, which is rife with slavery, violence towards women, and general depravity.
Ok, you pick out a single out of context violent quranic verse, I can do the same:
Psalm 137:8 O Babylon, you will be destroyed. Happy is the one who pays you back for what you have done to us.
137:9 Blessed is the one who grabs your babies and smashes them against a rock.
Have you read the entire quran? Do you understand the context many of these violent passages come in? What about all the violence in the bible? Why are you conveniently forgetting the five pillars of islam? What about the following passages?
“God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” (Surat al-Mumtahana, 8)
“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)
You’re so incredibly biased you don’t even realize you’re biased. Islam is only a ‘religion of violence’ if you focus on the bad parts. Just like how you are an asshole if I only focus on your butt. One must pull back and have a larger perspective to actually form reasonable judgements. In order to make yourself look like of a racist bigot, you might want to shut this site down before anyone else sees it.
