Islam presents itself as a religion of peace and love, yet it functions as a political ideology rooted in victimhood. Muslims quickly claim victim status whenever their strict adherence to the Quran—a text often used more as a military manual than a spiritual guide—is challenged. What they lack is a genuine understanding and affection for their own system. Instead, they fixate on rival ideologies and scriptures they view as hostile to Islam, some of which are indeed religions. The vast majority of Islamists are hostel to reason, in fact deny reason, any idea that science can explain anything, that predictions are possible. The Sunni, the majority of Muslims, moreso that the Shiite, reject the idea of cause and effect. They only see Allah defining each action every second (continuous divine intervention), and the only consideration of the expected next step of a process is that it is Allah’s habit to create each mili-second, and the next could be different. The Shiite relied upon the Imam to make decisions for their tribe, until the 12th Imam disappeared, went into occultation. They were left then to think for themselves until the Mahdi returns. But one can question whether the Shiite considers what is rational, relying only on the Quran as do others.
I have long argued that Islam is not truly a religion but a political ideology akin to communism or socialism, cleverly designed to masquerade as one—a classification too many accept uncritically. This structure includes prayer rituals, a central scripture (the Quran), a historical leader revered as a prophet (Muhammad), and a pilgrimage to Mecca, a site tied to biblical history. And their reliance is only on this manual. Even their education is limited as critical thinking is displaced by rote learning (of the Quran and the Hadiths).
Deep belief—or the desire to believe—breeds blind devotion: an unconscious addiction that ignores reality with absolute conviction. Consider Scientology as a parallel. From Wikipedia: “Scientology is a set of beliefs and practices invented by the American author L. Ron Hubbard… It is variously defined as a scam, a business, a cult, or a religion. Hubbard initially developed a set of pseudoscientific ideas… which he called Dianetics. An organization… went bankrupt, and his ideas were rejected… He then recast his ideas as a religion, likely for tax purposes and to avoid prosecution, and renamed them Scientology.” Religions can be invented.
Islam may have been similarly crafted in an era when humanity attributed the world to supernatural forces, crowned by an incomprehensible god. Mecca’s desert community bordered regions rich in Jewish and Christian history. Jesus’s life and death were documented in writings and oral traditions. A Jewish diaspora thrived in and around Mecca, an oasis linked mythically to Abraham abandoning Hagar and Ishmael—figures central to Islam’s narrative. Muhammad’s family, from the Quraysh tribe, lived there, familiar with these stories. They maintained the Kaaba, a structure housing idols for tribal gods, profiting from an annual bazaar where tribes traded in truce. They traced their lineage to Ishmael and worshipped Allah (the moon god) among many deities.
Islam is no religion of peace; that claim is a deception, as are many of its tenets. It is the ideology of jihad—war, conquest, subjugation, and violence. It stands in direct opposition to Christianity. Perhaps, then, Islam is more accurately an ideology of fear. The history of conquests since the days of Muhammad are evidence of the callous nature of adherents to raid, steal, destroy, murder, displace, and take property for Islam, as dictated by Muhammad and subsequent authors of the Quran. There is no rational, other that justification by Allah. All for Allah. There is no guilt, as guilt requires doubt, and the Islamist cannot doubt the Quran. Islam’s moral sense, determining good and evil, is not a result of reason. The jihadi is armored by certainty, every severed head is a ticket to paradise, every raped Yazidi girl a “spoils of war” sanctioned by medieval fiqh (Sharia, Islamic jurisprudence).
Why is Christianity the most persecuted faith on earth? Evil shields its own while targeting the good.
Muslims exploit humanity’s fear of harm, loss, and death. Terrorism instills dread: Christians in Nigeria face constant peril; Yazidis in Syria endure atrocities—rape, forced conversions, murder—at the hands of Muslim extremists. Where Muslims have occupied areas they confront their non-Muslim neighbors with threats of conquest, and their superiority. They cannot be convinced as to what they might be doing is wrong, as that concept is foreign to them. They conduct themselves only as directed by that which Allah revealed in the Quran. This allows them to exterminate the infidels, and rape non-Muslim women.
Raw, anguished questions arise from real suffering – bombings, beheadings, the smashing of ancient statues, the erasure of entire ways of life, monstrous actions fueled by a poisonous ideology. What kind of human heart is so lacking in compassion? Whose hatred is so extreme? What causes a desire to kill your neighbor? Why is there no respect for history, culture, tradition, in welcoming places? Why is the Muslim fundamentalist without guilt?
It is the hatred that was taught and dwells inside the true believer who sees the world in apocalyptic terms: Dar al-Islam, vs. Dar al-Harb, the House of Submission vs. the House of War. Every non-believer is an obstacle to Allah’s plan. The more devout the fighter thinks he is, the more justified the atrocity feels. Members of Hamas were fueled by hatred as if it were nitro and without guilt.
The only way for a fundamentalist to be different, to be objective, is to leave Islam. Reformists have not been effective. And leaving calls for death to the apostate.
In Muslim societies, fear enforces order: theft means amputation; apostasy means death; dating non-Muslims risks honor killings; female adultery means stoning; criticizing Islam risks arrest; removing the hijab invites acid attacks or imprisonment; singing or dancing is forbidden.
Islamists use fear to rally followers: fear of Allah, fear of retribution for inaction against non-believers. “Islamophobia” weaponizes this, equating critique with irrational hatred and justifying aggression. Every faith faces criticism without declaring war, yet Muslims sanction violence over words. Terror attacks aim to terrorize civilians—a tactic from Muhammad’s era to today.
In free nations, Muslims chant “death to America, or death to Israel,” enjoy liberties and demand welfare, while decrying infidels and threatening leaders. Churches burn and businesses close for failing to appease. Threat is a core tactic.
Fear cuts both ways. Muslims dread losing status, privileges, and welfare if Islam’s nature—a brutal ideology denying women rights, prioritizing fundamentalists, harming others—is exposed. They hate non-Muslims and act on it when possible. In societies like the UK and France, they impose fear while dismissing counter-fear.
Politicians appease Islam, but is it for rational reasons or for votes. Are they ignoring Islam’s goal: cultural transformation in host countries. The politician, I argue, lack the understanding that reasoning with a fundamentalist is beyond comprehension; it is not something they have ever known. They only know what the Quran tells them. In that regard, without accepting “cause and effect” in our world, they deny knowledge, and in so doing (denial of knowledge) the implication is nothing in the world can really be known (except what Allah has revealed). There are no Muslim philosophers, none that study the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality or existence. If there were, they would be called ‘heretics.’
Immigrants occupy areas, form Islamic communities, funded in part by their foreign homelands in an effort to maintain Islamic cohesion. They build mosques and madrassas to focus solely on the Quran and the Sunnah, to require loyalty to Allah and leaders, emphasize hatred for non-believers, and radicalize youth. They fund universities to create curriculums that relate in many cases false claims and a contrived history of Islam. This segregation of the Muslim maintains their cloistered minds from the reality of the world. Rational truth diminishes the Muslim to resist, to barricade themselves to avoid what to many makes sense, and to remain as close minded arrogant militants. Charity buys adherence. Assimilation is rejected; occupation is the intent. Imams warn hosts: Islam will dominate. As numbers grow, threats escalate—street prayers (despite nearby mosques) signal takeover, absent in Muslim countries. It’s seditious: a warning that the land will be Islamic, not Jewish, Christian, atheist, or agnostic. “Fear Islam. We are coming.”
Yet Islamists fear opposition, as evil fears good, wrong fears right, sinners fear their sin—and deny the God of Jews and Christians. At the same time the Islamists rely on the Quran and the dictates of their founder and leaders to tell them what they are doing is right, having no individual sense of right vs. wrong.
Biblical truth, that which is embraced by Christians and Jews, and I’d say most non-Muslims, persists in human hearts via natural revelation. From Romans 1:20: “Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse.” That which is right and wrong, good and evil, is known. In the Christian world humans are allowed to explore that which God created, to understand it as rational. It is how God becomes known; to know the creator by studying the rules and laws of creation. To all but the Muslim a human mind can reflect on circumstances and draw conclusions on their own. It is not just as Allah declares. God gave humans the ability to discern and make proper judgments.
Islam fears the truth: it is not a legitimate religion. It is without Logos.
Reason cannot be used in matters of the Islamic faith. Muhammad said all that needed to be said. Abandon debate. Surrender to the text (Quran). Rational arguments violate Islamic faith. Imitation is the only way. To do otherwise, to think independently is anathema.
Beware Islam. Ban Islam. Ban Sharia. Fear close-minded irrational peoples.
