God = Love = God

UI – Part 480 – God = Love = God

What is God, but Love?  The God to which I refer is the biblical God.  He is the God of Love.

I write and share my views on Islam.  Allah is not the god of love.  Allah will love only those who love Allah.  That is a conditioned response.  Allah wants those that do not love Allah to be eliminated, eliminated by the Islamists, so proclaimed Muhammad, as Allah’s messenger.

God loves everyone.  God even loves those who do not believe in God; that would be the Muslim, the Hindu, the Bhuddist, the atheist.  With open arms God stands ready to welcome all who come to him.  It is the Gospel that provides for all.

As the apostle Paul made clear, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile (Romans 1:16).” This is an all inclusive statement. God provides hope.  God gives us hope. “For in hope we are saved” (Romans 8:24).

From Corinthians 1, 13:13 we are reminded of what remains for all mankind, and that is faith, hope and love.  It is the love of God, having faith in Christ who provided the means that forgives us of our sinful nature and provides a life eternal, salvation, and hope, for that which God provides.  We are purposed for God. That is why we live.

May the God of love fill you with all hope and peace as you trust in him, so that you may GodLoveoverflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13)”

In the Islamic world the question I ask, except for filial love, and that is questionable when honor killing occurs or a parent accepts remuneration for the suicide death of a child, is their love?

In the Christian world there is love, indeed, there is love. God is Love, one and the same.

In the West there is love too, but more in the form of tolerance, or love of neighbor, and not a hatred born out of an ideology intent on consuming the whole of the universe.

Remember the Beatles, at least Paul McCartney, who wrote the song (“A World Without Love”), sung by Peter and Gordon (1964) with whom I agree, “I don’t care what they say, I won’t stay in a world without love.” Why should anyone?

Grace and Peace
