UI – Part 462 – Islam and Christian; Contrasting Short Sermons (I)

Islam

concept-of-role-of-imam-of-mosqueThe truth is that Islam is a complete civilization that does not hold one principle in common with the Kafirs. And it is the purpose of Islam to replace our current mixed civilization with Sharia.  It is Allah’s (PBUH) charge to have all Muslims embrace their strident nature and seek all people to walk the way of Islam.

Christian

pastor2God is love. He desires the whole of mankind be saved. The path he made, by grace, is simple. Have faith in Christ who was punished for the sins of all humans, repent and follow him.  He is Risen.  He is alive.

Islam

Muhammad (PBUH) is our example.  He paved the way and showed us what to do.  We are to grow the territories we occupy to be even more devout in loving Allah (PBUH).  We are to open borders to areas where the infidels reside and convince them their ways are in error.  Use the directives set forth in Scripture.  Allah will disgrace the disbelievers. Allah can do no wrong. If you are welcomed into the land of the kafirs and they then resist your presence, they are the aggressors and are subject to what Muhammad commanded: “slay the idolaters, wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush” (Sura 9:5).

“There is a depth and wonder and some kind of presence above and beyond ordinary life” (TimKeller).  “We are more and life is more than we can see in the material world” (TimKeller). God has a purpose for our lives. He has purposed each one who loves him, who have been called according to his purpose. Christians live a life loving God and Neighbor. Neighbor is all mankind, Christian or not, and the life lived is as an example. Christ is our example.

Islam

Those who believe and fled their homes, their native lands, and strive hard in Allah’s way, carrying out jihad, for self and for Allah, with your wealth and your lives, will be elevated above others in Allah’s book.  You shall triumph and find his glory in the deeds you commit to advance Islam. The Gardens wherein lasting blessings are readily present will be yours. Keep Allah closer to you than anything in the material world.  Your daily life for Allah alone is what you are called upon to do. The Pillars are the guide that you are to never neglect. Severe chastisement awaits those who stray.

Christian

The central values of Christianity include personal sacrifice, redemption and forgiveness. Equality of persons, male and female, Jew or gentile, cannot be dismissed. We are all born in God’s image.  Justice, individual human rights, and democracy arise from this principle. There is no alternative.  We have no right to destroy another person who fails to live up to God’s standards. That is for God alone on Judgment Day.

Christ did not die on the cross.  It was faked.  He is not God either.  He spoke to Allah and told him so, “Glory be to thee!  It is not for me to say what I had no right to say.  If I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it.  Thou knows what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy mind.  Surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen” (Sura 5:116).  The disciples are Muslims, having said they believe in Allah and the Messenger.  They said, “We submit” (Sura 5:111).

Christian

Christ died on the cross taking our place, punished for our sins, so we can be right with Him. He has done what we cannot do. It is not by works that we are saved. It is by faith in Christ who loves you and gave himself for you that your salvation has been made possible.  It is the only way. Only God himself could make man right with him anew.  After his death Jesus resurrected, was witnessed by hundreds, people who knew him, Jews and gentiles, and much was written about this event with no one ever denying it occurred.  The Romans knew Jesus, they scourged him, they hung him on the cross, they checked to see he was dead, they lowered him from the cross, and divided his clothing. The Jewish leader that insisted upon his crucifixion, Caiaphas, would never allow another to take the place of Jesus on that cross.  He wanted him gone and made certain of it.  Jesus dead body was prepared for burial by people who knew him. And after his burial the unconscionable happened, Christ rose, according to Scripture.  He overcame sin and death, as forecast in Genesis.  His divine nature was revealed in fact.  Christ’s resurrection is proof of his divine nature.  It is also a testament to the truth that is the Bible, the Word of God.  As you read the Bible you will know God is speaking to you.

Grace and Peace
