UI – Part 154 –Legal Intimidation Islamic-Style

Intimidation

Intimidation.  How a Muslims wins a legal argument.  Threaten the opposing legal defense team with death if they show up in court to offer arguments.

From: http://www.meforum.org/3207/courtroom-terror.  An event that occurred 3/16/2012 in Egypt.

(3/16/2012) “More than 300 Muslim lawyers inside and outside a courthouse in the southern Egyptian province of Assuit today [3/16] prevented defense lawyer Ahmad Sayed Gabali, who is representing the Christian, Makarem Diab, from going into court. Mr. Diab was found guilty of “Insulting the Muslim Prophet” and was scheduled today for a hearing on his appeal. Attorney Dr. Naguib Gabriell, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organization, said there was “terror in the Assiut Court today.” He added that he was on his way to court when he was advised that Muslim lawyers have issued death threats to any Christian lawyers who attend the court session. “Makram Diab was assaulted by Muslim lawyers during his transfer from the courtroom and security failed to protect him.” Peter Sarwat, a Coptic lawyer, said that Muslim lawyers representing the plaintiffs prevented the defense team from entering court: “They said no Muslim will defend a Christian. It was agreed that Christian lawyers would take over and two Coptic lawyers volunteered, but the Muslims decided later that even Christians would not defend him.” Sarwat said the Muslim lawyers wanted to assault the chief judge but he managed to leave the court via a rear door [emphasis added].”

Fear Tactics

This tactic of ‘fear’ is not unusual.  When not in the Court the use of ‘fear tactics’ is in the streets, on the airways, and in the media attacking the infidels, to include moderate Muslims not in accord with the Islamists. Lawyers using threats only provide an example to other Islamic extremists and suggest it is permitted if and as necessary to suppress the truth or anything counter to what the Islamists say or their Sharia rule-of-law suggest.

There are the self-deprecating Islamist defenders that suggest they are weak relative to those that persecute them, even a cartoonist, and resort to ‘terrorism’ as a defense.  That is a stretch and a poor excuse for the many acts of violence perpetrated in the name of Allah, the call of Allahu Akbar, the war cry heard too often just prior to a weapon being fired or a device ignited in a crowd of innocent by-standers.  That cry has labeled the actions of Islamists as prone to terrorism.  Certainly a call to Allah is not a call to the Biblical God, it can only be the god of Islam.

They, not all (Islamists or Muslims), but enough,  have represented this culture without a loud and frequent enough pronouncement in support of any claim the majority of Muslims are pluralistic, accepting of non-Muslims, modern, embrace peace, human rights (to include rights and equality for women), and desire freedom and world peace.  Thus the non-Muslim popular thinking is Muslims are inherently oriented towards eradicating all that is not accepting of Islam –  by fear, force and death as needed.

Other Religions Buildings

Would Muslims, moderate or otherwise, would they also cry out for the building of Christian Churches or Jewish Synagogues in Muslims lands, permitting those that secretly embrace a faith other than Islam to come forth and worship as they wish. I believe the consensus answer would be, “NO.”

Armed With Clubs Not Valid Arguments

More was reported about actions taking place during the attempted appeal process in Egypt for the Christian, Makarem Diab.  “More details include eyewitnesses reporting that the Muslim lawyers were “armed with clubs.” Several, including reporters, were injured in the ensuing melee, and human rights groups were “forced out of the courtroom by the Muslims.”

This is the bizarre, backward and cowardly thinking and methods of the extremists.  There may be one near you.  You know they exist in abundance in Muslim dominated areas.  We must avoid increasing numbers of Muslims in concentrations, in multicultural enclaves, that can grow up to be domestic terrorists encouraged by their local ulema, in their local Mosque.

What occurred in Egypt, this case, the legal steps and the abuse, took place because someone insulted a holy figure.  How often is the Biblical God insulted.  How often is Christ depicted in the worst and most deprecating fashion, yet no Christian lawyers are brandishing clubs to attack those that depicted God or Jesus.  But as for Muhammad and Allah it is a justification for evil personal attacks, killing, clubbing, and fatwas (calling for the community of Islamic believers to kill – the billboard effect as a posting asking just one to do the deed for all of Islam), all in the name of the religion Islam (which I now believe more an Ideology).

The offense is wrong, as I feel with attacks on the Biblical God and Jesus, but it is not worthy of killing or maiming others.  It is not worthy of educated lawyers preventing the opposition from doing its job for reasons of a Muslim defending a non-Muslim, or even, and especially, a Christian defending a Christian.  The terrorist acts of Muslims as reactions to their claims of persecution, not direct personal, physical assaults, are unwarranted and indeed show evidence of weakness.  The weakness is a lack of true comfort, a personal foundation, in their faith.  They have hidden doubts and do not want to be faced with the reality of it all.

Grace and Peace

Grace and Peace to all who love and find God’s saving grace their pathway to the eternal kingdom.  May they enjoy the security they experieince in their relationship with God, the Holy Spirit filling them with the strength to persevere and live a life for Christ.
