UI – Part 394 –   Osama Bin Laden is dead.  This is the good news.

Al Qaeda lives; that is the bad news. Islamism lives; that too is bad news, not just for democracy, but for all moderate Muslims and any individual that accepts ‘reason’ as a rational approach to discovery and erasing doubts.

Already Islamist clerics are attempting to raise concern that Islamists like Osama Bin Laden are not fairly treated; even in death.  From AP May 2, 2011, “Muslim clerics said Monday that Usama bin Laden’s burial at sea was a violation of Islamic tradition that may further provoke militant calls for revenge attacks against American targets. Although there appears to be some room for debate over the burial — as with many issues within the faith — a wide range of senior Islamic scholars interpreted it as a humiliating disregard for the standard Muslim practice of placing the body in a grave with the head pointed toward the holy city of Mecca.”   Can there be any more militant calls for revenge attacks against American targets, or targets of modernity anywhere in the free world?  What is any different?

We can only praise the U.S.military and allies that helped in locating and effectively eliminating this figurehead for Al Qaeda.  The hunt continued until successful.  There will be many questions, but the answer is that this evil man, this example of the voice of Islamists to destroy all that is modern, all that is free, and that is reasonable, and all that is meaningful is dead.  Islamism as practiced by the more vocal groups that espouse terrorism and a world only for Allah is irrational.  The historical acts of Bin Laden, his followers and imitators, the Al Qaeda look-a-likes, never made sense.  Wanting a world for a cause where dehumanization results, human rights are denied, equality is non-existent, and freedoms, of all sorts, are restricted is irrational.  Wanting a world where tyrannical leaders coach followers to self-destruct, commit suicide in the name of Allah for no other logical justification that ‘hate’ for non-believers is irrational.  This is evil.  See it for what it is.

The world has eliminated the head of an evil satanic snake hiding behind the raiment of a god so many choose to follow – Allah.  Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and Islamists are using  Allah and the minds of those prone to submit and obey without question to raise an army of mindless sycophants, taking advantage of their willingness to blindly obey authority.  Resist and you will die, as an apostate, as one who has turned their back on the one they love.  There is no love in return.  There is only tyranny.  The satanic snake has more than one head.

Understand Islam.  Embrace freedom.  Find the path to follow that will provide for a peaceful world.  Find the way to live in a productive economy, where your mind and that of others can be engaged in discovery, debate and free choice.

We pray for the light of God to shine on the world as a whole, to open eyes to opportunities that exist, and to prepare the way to a kingdom whose gates are open.  Believe in the saving grace of the Lord, know that his sacrifice cleansed us in His blood and redemption was made possible so all could be right with God.  Believe and be right.  Reason is a gift, think in through with a willing heart and your foundation for growth in a relationship with Him will be made firm.  The stairway you build will only lead to heights attainable for those who love God as God already loves them.  Let His Spirit dwell in you so you may be aware each day of the strength he provides, the guidance he gives, and the end result that you may achieve.  Thanks be to Christ.
